Jai

The gorgeous Jai has been with VicDRG for over a year now. And we have no idea why his perfect home is being so elusive. When he joined our family he was a nervous and needy boy who had probably lived off the land for a while. \ He was underweight, unsocialised and scared of anything new.

Let's take a look at him now. To sum him up in a few words: he is an adorable, playful, snuggling big soft baby. He loves his walks and is getting really good at meeting and greeting all doggies large and small who come his way. He loves to play long and hard with his foster buddies; when they lose interest he will find a toy and tease them with it until they give in and start all over again.

For a boy who had likely never been inside a house, he showed spectacular skill at finding the most comfortable spot, preferably touching his human. His foster Mum complains regularly about waking up to a large dog spooning her, he cannot get close enough!

So where is this elusive forever family? What are the qualities Jai is looking for? He wants regular walks. He wants a buddy to keep him company should the humans disappear for a while. He loves his toys and likes to play with them regularly. He takes a while to get used to new things so some patience and understanding are required at times, just to keep him as happy as he deserves to be. Above all he want the unconditional love he will give to be returned.

He is working very hard on his skills and is so very keen to please. He can sit; he can sit and wait for his dinner. He sits at the front door and then the gate before heading out for a walk. He can drop (with treats) and will respond quickly to his name. If he's in the middle of having lots of fun he quickly forgets his name was called, but that is the joy of Jai. Jai isn't fazed by cats, he just ignores them.

Can you live up to his expectations? Love, cuddles, walks and play. Not much to ask for really.
