About Monty ~ Shih Tzu X (foster fail 9/4/15)
Introducing Monty, he is a Shih tzu X, a young gentleman at 3 & half yrs old (D.O.B 28/09/11). Monty is a lively, affectionate and intelligent dog who wants to be involved in everything we do. Monty is a small dog weighing in at 5.4 kg, who is a little timid but happy, loving and affectionate. He is white all over with grey ears and a few gorgeous black spots on his body and a beautiful tail typical of a Shihtzu tail.
This beautiful boy is a bundle of excitement and friendliness who also loves his cuddles and kisses.
Monty gets on well with our dogs but knows he is not the boss dog. He is a little wary of large dogs but is friendly with small dogs.
He is an intelligent dog and will respond well to training, he is house trained. Monty is responding to his new name and comes when called. I have not heard Monty bark in the time he has been in foster care.
Monty will need a little extra training learning to walk on a lead. He gets so excited when he hears the car pull into the driveway. He is happy to have a nap on your lap or find a quiet spot to relax indoors. He is also well behaved, loves travelling in the car and is friendly and happy all the time.
He would like to be part of home where has someone is around a lot of the time as he prefers companionship. He won’t suit being left alone in the yard for long periods of time. Monty lives with 2 other dogs, Maltese x foster brother & sister, they love to have a play and chase each other but Monty also enjoys snuggling up to you on the couch.
Monty recently has had Vet health check, and he is 100% healthy with no issues.
If you want an affectionate, easy-going, little companion to be inside with you when you're home then please come meet Monty. He is not an aggressive dog. He has a lovely personality. He would make a great family dog or just someone's companion, and would love to go to a home where he has another little dog to play with.
For more information or to meet Monty, please contact his foster carer Sandra on 024968 3167 & 0421 322 572 or email sheezalady@gmail.com. Monty is in foster care in Mayfield, NSW (suburb of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Monty's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
