About Miss Latte ~ Catahoula (on trial 28/6/15)
This gorgeous girl is a 1 year old Catahoula, a rare breed in Australia. The breed originates from the USA and is also known as the Louisiana leopard dog because of their uniquely beautiful appearance.
Miss Latte is such a sweet loyal girl who will win your heart instantly. She loves her daily walks- Off lead areas are becoming a major hit with her, darting back and forth with the other dogs and always staying within sight. She has learnt to sit and has mastered waiting patiently for her meals. Positive encouragement, treat based training and lots of praise are what work for her.
Don’t be fooled by that gorgeous face though - mud puddles, bouncing around in the water, chewing bones in the sun and wrestling with her foster pals are some of her favourite activities. Belly rubs, treats and cuddles from the kids also make that tail wag, but she sometimes does forget her size so as always supervised play when dogs and kids are together.
She was timid and a little unsure of new places and people when she first arrived but has improved hugely so continuing her training and socialisation is a must! Miss Latte sleeps outside on the undercover deck or in the laundry, snuggling her foster brother and sister.
Miss latte is best suited to a home with a friendly, playful dog/s and an active family who have the time to provide her the stimulation her mind and body require. Also she will need a good sized yard with secure fencing.
If you feel you can give Miss Latte the loving forever home she deserves please contact her foster carer Katie on 0423 445 028 (text preferred) or email beauandkatie@hotmail.com. Miss Latte is in foster care at Blackalls Park 2283 NSW (Lake Macquarie) and is available for interstate adoption.
Latte's adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
