About Casper ~ (Trial 17/4/15) Pomeranian x Shih Tzu
Casper is a beautiful 10 week old Pomeranian x Shih Tzu puppy. He is only going to be a small dog and currently weighs only 2.3kg. He is a very affectionate boy who loves cuddles and playing with his doggy friends. Casper would like his new family to have another little friendly dog to play with.
Casper loves to play with his toys and enjoys having a play in the yard but is an inside dog. He must be welcome inside and must sleep inside. He is learning house training and this will need to be continued. He is a clever boy and will learn quickly with positive reward training.
He is currently living with small to medium size dogs and loves all the dogs and people. He will follow you wherever you go and really enjoys his snuggle time with you while watching TV.
Casper is a little boy who like all puppies loves to chew things, including fingers and toes; so he would not suitable for families with very young children and would benefit greatly by going to puppy school. Casper will need someone to be home most of the time as he is too young to spend long days home alone.
Casper has a beautiful soft coat and enjoys being brushed. His coat will require some maintenance such as brushing every few days and a bath every fehw weeks.
As Casper is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when he's 4 or 5 months old. Desexing is compulsary and will be arranged by his carer.
Please remember that puppies are a lifetime commitment and every family member needs to be considered before adopting any puppy. Applicants must be home most of the time and have a secure yard.
Casper's adoption fee is $650 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
