About Ned ~ purebred kelpie ~ (on trial 9/4/15)
Ned is a 9 month old, black, purebred kelpie. He is such a super smart and very handsome boy who just wants to be with you. He follows you around everywhere like your little black shadow. He currently lives with two older foster dogs and he loves to play with them all day. He is also quite happy to relax on the veranda and watch them play.
Ned is such an affectionate boy. He just loves getting pats off everyone. The highlight of his day is coming in the house for some cuddle time from his foster mum and just laying on his mat and watching some TV with the family. Currently Ned sleeps outside with the other dogs he but does need to have some family time inside. He is fully house trained. We just let outside every so often to do his business.
Ned loves going for runs and would make the best running partner! He is still learning to not pull on the lead when he goes for walks. He does get a little bit excited when cars drive past so wouldn't let him off the lead when walking him. Like any young dog, Ned can be a bit silly from time to time but he settles down when you remind him what is expected. He is learning very quickly, and already knows how to sit, wait for his food and lay down, which he didn't know how to do when he first came into foster care. With further time and training he will make a perfect companion and a very smart dog. He picks up things really quickly!
Ideally he would suite a home with another dog to play with and when home to be allowed inside to have some family time. He would best be suited to a family who is active and has the time to further his training. He will need secure 6ft fencing.
Ned is such an affectionate boy who would show nothing but love for his new forever home, all he wants to do is please you and be by your side.
For more information or to meet Ned, please contact his foster carer Kelly on 0421 982 131 or email turnerk220@gmail.com. Ned is in foster care in Mayfield, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Ned's adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
