About Misty ~ Foxie X ~ Senior (On Trial 26/5/15)
Hi my names Misty and I’m a foxie cross. I’m approximately 12years old (or young, depending on your mindset) but don’t let my age fool you, I still act like a playful puppy. I’m the dog with all the personality once i get to know you. I have a low maintenance coat and only require a bath every 2- 3 weeks. Given my size I am easy to bath at home and dry very quickly.
During the day I spend my time both inside and outside with the other doggies my foster mum has. I do like to have the company of either another dog or the company of people as I really don’t like being by myself. I currently share a house with 3 other little dogs and a cat. I think cats are rather rude and I am not a fan so I tend to get a bit vocal when she is around. I would probably prefer to go to a home without a cat.
I enjoy playing with squeaky toys and tennis balls, plus of course playing with my foster sisters. When inside I do like to have time to myself and sometimes I will just go and relax in my crate, or I’ll go find a toy and play with it. In my past I did not get shown much affection or attention and now that I have discovered how good it can be I cannot get enough. I enjoy laying/sitting on laps or just being close to you.
I enjoy walks. I do not pull on the lead and walk like a gentle and calm young lady. My manners are superb and I am an absolute delight to take a leisurely stroll with.
Of a night I sleep in a crate in my foster mum’s room where it is warm and cosy and I am safe and secure. I would love to go to a home where I can still have my crate in the bedroom or close to my family.
My ideal adoptive parent/s would be home fulltime or the majority of the time, retired couple or single. I have not spent time with kids so would maybe need a slow introductions as I can be very excited and jump.
You can contact my foster mum Erin on 0413795300 or ezz13e@hotmail.com . If mum doesn’t answer it means we are probably off for a walk or playing together so just leave a detailed voice message or send her a text/email. I am in care in Edgeworth NSW (Lake Macquarie) and am available for adoption interstate.
My adoption fee is $100 and includes desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
