About Meisha ~ Staffy X Kelpie (on trial 19/9/15)
Hi there, my name is Meisha but I also go by the names Sweetie, RatBag and The World’s Most Amazing Dog ( ok that last name I made up ). I’m a 6month old Staffy crossed with Kelpie and I really do think this is the most perfect combination. My coat is not too long just have a look at my photos my foster has been trying to take off me. Sorry there are not more shots of me just now but there is far too much to do then to sit and have glamor shots done.
In my short life I spent a long stay in jail (my foster mum calls it the pound). I got a skin problem that is all but cleared up just one more needle that the wonderful guys and gals at Dog Rescue Newcastle have already paid for. Once that’s done I will be just like new.
Let me tell you some wonderful facts about me. My foster mum tells people all the time she thinks there is not a bad bone in my body. I love to snuggle in bed, on the lounge, in the hammock, outside, just about anywhere you want I will be there.
I can sit and shake hands and am really trying hard to learn some more really cool tricks like walking on a lead, stay and come and I don’t think it will be long before I have mastered them all. I’m really looking forward to learning as much as I can. I’m learning to use to the toilet outside and am really making very good progress. I learnt a bad habit when in jail but it’s all in the past now. I get better and better at everything every day.
This interesting fact is my best I think. In the weeks I have been here I have never once chased the horses that live in the paddock and always come back from exploring the paddock when called.
I am super loving to everyone I meet and am great with all other animals and peoples. I especially love kids and am currently living with 4 of them. They love me lots and lots but my foster mum said that if I stay then they can’t help other girls and guys like me. I understand that and I hope they get the chance to make other doggies like me happy.
Now that I have discovered how good life can really be I would love to be able to go to a home where I can be loved and cared for as one of the family. I really like to be part of the family so would need to be allowed inside where I can maybe snuggle up to you all on the lounge. I love company so would really like a fur brother or sister to stop me from feeling lonely.
My life’s wish is to have a home where I am welcome to run, swim, play and of course snuggle with a family all of my own.
So if you are looking for a snuggly fun loving girl to take on long walks on the beach/ bush and have someone to cuddle up with on the lounge at the end of a hard day then I’m your girl.
If you think I’m your perfect match please ring my foster mum Wendy on 0407 637 762 or send an email. I’m staying in Forster NSW and am available for adoption interstate.
My adoption fee is only $400 and includes my desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
