About Milla
Milla is a sweet little 5 month old kelpie girl. She came into care very timid and easily frightened, but has come out of her shell and shows her gorgeous sweet personality.
Milla is pretty much toilet trained and only had one accident since in her foster home. She is also starting to learn basic commands as no, sit, drop and come etc. She is a very smart girl and will excel with further training. She is also learning to walk on the lead and travels well in the car.
She is timid and cautious around new people and needs time and love to trust you, but at the same time very curious about her surroundings and loves to spend time around her humans.
Milla really benefits from another friendly dog as companion, as that helps her to gain confidence and keeps her puppy playful tendencies occupied. She is currently living with another young female dog, who she loves to spend time with and play. Milla is also living with a cat, she does show some interest, but only wants to say hello, if the grumpy cat would just let her... She would be fine to live with a confident cat in the household as she responds well to a sharp “no” if the cat wants to be left alone.
Milla would be best suited to a family with school age children as the little ones (when they are a bit boisterous) can overwhelm her.
She is a very gentle girl, but as she is still a young puppy and has a timid nature, she definitely would benefit from socialisation through puppy/ dog school.
Milla will need a home that will give her a lot of time and love to boost her confidence, benefit from a friendly doggy companion or a family who is home a lot, she will need be allowed inside, as although she is timid around new people, when she trust you, she just wants to be with her family and relax next to you on the floor or getting a pat.
Being a working dog, she will need an active family who will give her daily exercise and a lot of environmental stimulation. Milla is the sweetest girl, it will be hard to say good-bye to her, but she is ready to find her furever family now.
Milla is currently in care in Epping!
