About Banjo ~ kelpie, (on trial 28/6/15)
Hey they my name is Banjo - you know like the guy who wrote that poem "The Man from Snowy River", I may not be as poetic as that dude but I am very, very smart, and if I do say so myself very handsome. I am a 2yo kelpie. I LOVE other dogs no matter what shape or size, and also running, running very fast is so much fun.
I am currently living with my foster mum and dad, my 2 foster sisters, and my 4 foster chicken sisters. I adore my current family but sometimes I try and eat my chicken sisters - whoopsie! Oh and cats are not my most favourite creatures.
My foster mum says I’m nothing like a crazy farm dog, I’m actually the total opposite, I’m really cool calm and collected. I hate to admit it but I’m a total sook and a sucker for cuddles. I love laying around in the night time watching TV with the family.
In the day I’m hanging at home with my sisters till mum and dad get home from work, which is cool.
My favourite thing to do is go to the park or the beach or anywhere with a big place to run, thats where I get all my silliness out! My mum, sisters and I go for walks pretty much every day. Mum says I’m a real good boy walking on the lead, I never really pull and always behave myself around others when walking. \ I’m also really obedient, I ALWAYS come back when I’m called and never run off when outside with my foster parents.
I sometimes get visits from my foster niece and nephew, they are 4 and 6 years old children. Mum says I’m a really good boy around them.
My all time favourite thing to do is curl up on the bed or lounge with my foster parents but I always listen to my foster parents and get down when I’m told. I sleep in my parents’ bedroom with my sisters on our own beds on the floor.
Noises don’t really bother me much, mum says I’m a real good boy in thunderstorms, I don’t really bark and just like to sit with someone.
Anyways, I’m looking for a home that has some room for me to run, maybe even some siblings to play with kids, dogs the more the merrier! Most of all I just want someone to love me if you know of anyone let me know!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
