Amber - "Aussie Cattle Dog"

Hi, I'm Amber and I have personality plus! I'm a cute red Australian Cattle Dog cross with a smaller breed and I'm only 10 months old.

I came into care after some tough times, but that hasn't affected me in any way. I'm a playful, happy girl. I have a very expressive face and you can always tell when I'm happy because I'll have the biggest smile on my face.

I am quite content to spend the day alone and my neighbours have said that I don't bark or make noise when I'm home alone, but I love it when my foster mum gets home at night. I show my affection by giving her a big hug and wagging not only my tail, but my whole rear end, which makes her laugh!

I am house trained and if you make sure to let me out before bed time I won't have any accidents. I sit for my dinner and I'm learning other tricks like shaking hands. I love nothing better than a cuddle on the couch in the evenings, but I'm just as happy to sleep in my bed at your feet if that's what you prefer.

I am a little wary of men, so gentle introduction works best. I'm very timid around them, but I'm not aggressive at all.

I definitely don't like cats, but if you have another dog my size who's friendly I'm sure with the right introductions we can be great friends.

I'm great with kids too, but I do like to jump up and lick my humans so the smallest of kids might need to be supervised around me just in case I get too friendly!

I walk well on the lead if you spend a few minutes showing me who's boss, but as soon as I see another dog all of my manners go out the window because I want to meet them so badly. My foster mum and I are working on that, but I'll need to continue that with my new family. \ I also love car rides and behave myself in the car.

Like most dogs I would benefit from some structured obedience training and socialisation.

I'm a happy, friendly and smart girl and I'm searching for my perfect forever home where I can shower you in my kisses and love.
