About Indie
Indie is a sweet-natured young lady who adores people so, so much... she just wants to be around you! Although Indie loves a good rumble, she is happiest curled up next to her special person on the lounge or at their feet.
A perfect companion, Indie has a good grasp of commands, walks well on lead and is fully toilet trained. She can't wait to begin her new life with her furever family.
MY IDEAL HOME: Living on a medium-sized property with at least a small yard would suit me just fine. Physical contact with my family is very important to my wellbeing, so I will need to be allowed indoors when you're home. I don't love to be left alone for too long, so if you're retired or work from home, that would be pawsome!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Although I am a bit of a sleepyhead, especially when you're chilling on the couch - I'll be right there snuggled up to you! - a 30-minute walk every day will keep me happy and healthy.
MT SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I love children! I'm very gentle, however I'm also pretty strong and would be best suited to a family with older kids who are familiar with energetic dog play as I don't want to accidentally knock anyone over.
MT SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I have lived happily with another dog, however I can get quite excited by the sight of strange dogs when out on my walks, so I would benefit from continued supervised socialisation in my new home.
Unfortunately I am not suited to a home with cats.

Medical notes
Indie has a slight limp with her left rear leg which fluctuates in severity, but does not stop her doing anything and she does not indicate any pain. After very active play, she may favour the leg until it settles.
Indie's vet believes she may have had a previous injury that has now healed, but becomes inflamed after strenuous activity (such as jumping or sprinting), which should ideally be limited to 20 minute sessions..
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
