About Felix
Introducing the snuggliest, smoochiest, sweetest little man on the block - Felix!!! Beautiful Felix found himself homeless and abandoned in a country pound… he was matted, emaciated, and sick with a terrible cough and cold… when he came into care, he had no interest in food because he had been sick and starved for so long. He was shy and submissive, found it hard to walk up and down the stairs and wanted to stay outside as he had obviously never been allowed inside. WELL, wow - what a little t.l.c. can do! Felix is now a changed man!!!
Felix has now put on a few kilos, and LOVES his meals… he woofs them down very enthusiastically, and sits for his treats. He is incredibly playful - he LOVES his toys, and will throw them around by himself, trying to entice someone to play with him! He really loves playing chasey and tug-of-war with his foster brother, and follows his foster brother around everywhere, and really relies on this companionship.
Felix is, above all things, incredibly affectionate and craves love and human affection. He loves to be cuddled, and is happiest when snuggled up in your lap/being carried around in your arms! He is only a baby, and needs lots, and lots of love, and lots of affection, and attention… all of the good things he missed out on before arriving at Victorian Dog Rescue. He is very gentle, and isn’t at all possessive over his toys or food.
He is quick to learn, and is very focused on his humans. Felix is still only a puppy, and has lots of energy to burn. He loves his walks, and loves to run… however, not off-leash yet as his recall needs some work. And unfortunately, due to being unsocialised prior to coming into care, he is not very good at meeting dogs out and about at the moment. He will need further work on improving his social skills. That being said, this is his only downfall and we are working on this… and with the right guidance, he will be able to overcome it and enjoy his park outings without anxiety.
He is funny, and goofy, and playful, and cheeky and all of the gorgeous things a pup should be! He is really drawn to children, and wags his tail whenever he sees them out and about. So he would suit a family with gentle, dog savvy children to play with. Felix will also need to go to a home with an existing male/female dog for company… with the right initial introduction, his fellow pooch brother/sister will become his best friend. He will also need to go to a home where people are around most of the time… he just wants to be with you all the time, and craves human company. He can use the doggy door and has almost mastered toilet training. Felix sleeps through the night, and is a dream to have around the house.
He is such a darling, and deserves to have a beautiful, loving family to call his very own. He has so much love and fun to give, and whoever adopts him will be blessed with the most loving little fellow.
