About Luna ~ kelpie x, 2yo ~ (on trial 12/4/15)
Meet Luna, Luna is an absolutely beautiful Kelpie X, approximately 2 years of age. She is a medium size dog with a lovely tan coat that is easy maintenance.
Luna is a very loyal girl; she will be your best friend for life. She is incredibly smart and seems to understand everything you say to her, including asking her to find her ball; she will then search high and low until she finds the ball for you. She also loves to join her family in a game of football; she drops the football at your feet every time you walk outside.
Luna knows all her basic commands including sit, stay, and come; if you have a treat for her she will even walk on her back legs to get it. She walks well on a lead but can be a little excited at first.
Luna absolutely adores human company and is great with kids. She also loves my dogs, cats and duck, she get along great with them.
Luna currently sleeps inside as she loves to be a part of the family. She will keep a good watch over your yard while you are not home, but she will need good secure fencing.
For more information or to meet Luna, please contact her foster carer Leah on 0417 197 313. Luna is in foster care in Kempsey, NSW (mid north coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
Luna's adoption fee is $400 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
