About Norbit ~ On Trial 14/8/15
Hi future family my name is Norbit! I’m a 1 year old, male, Blue Cattle x Staffy with a heart of gold and a pretty solid head. Which is a good thing too as I’m a bit of a clutz and trip over things all the time. As you can see I have these beautiful ears that follow the sound of your voice as I am very attentive.
I’m also well behaved, love travelling in the car and am friendly and happy all the time. Especially if there is food around! Have you got a treat in your pocket? I can sit for it!
My foster mum reckons that I would be great with kids as I love to go on walks and play fetch and chasey and did I mention I will sit for treats? She thinks I would be better off with older kids. Not because I don’t love smaller ones it’s just I would knock them over by accident because I still a bit of an uncoordinated puppy.
I will still need a little work on my training but I can do basic commands. I can sit, drop and wait (sometimes) and I’m getting better at walking on the lead. Sometimes I jump up on people when I get excited but I am learning that that isn’t good manners. I come when I am called though. Especially if there is a treat! Seriously can I have one now?
I love other dogs. Love them. Cats I love! Originally I thought our cat was a odd but now I love to snuggle! My foster family has rabbits too and I just like to stare at them in their cages. If they get too close it's OK cause I love to lick them. They don’t like it as much. I’m not much of a barker and normally sleep all day whilst everyone is at work. I need my energy ‘cause when they are home, oh boy its play time!
My ideal home would be one where I can get regular exercise, regular cuddles and kisses, a doggy bed inside to sleep on at night and treats. And maybe a kong with biscuits and peanut butter. Ever tried that stuff? It’s magic.
If you’re interested, I’m all yours for $300 and 2 schmackos. See you soon,
Love Norbit.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
