About June & Milly
NO MORE APPLICATIONS#######
June - unsure maybe dachshund x poodle?? 5.4 kgs, age 6
Milly - Poodle x Bijon Frise 4.5 kgs, age 6
Milly and June need to find a forever home together as they were rescued together and are best of friends. They like to be involved in everything and will shadow you everywhere. They are great company and both are extremely sweet, gentle and quiet. Both are well behaved on the lead and don't pull at all, preferring to stay by your heels and just enjoy being out and about.
Neither of the girls sheds hair so both will require regular grooming to keep them looking their best.
They are nearly house trained but there have been a couple of accidents, both are intelligent and quick to learn so time, patience and consistency is all thats required to fully train them. They are great with other small dogs but would initially bark at other animals (possums), however they are not aggressive in any way.
Milly is a happy go lucky lady, i'm certain that she actually smiles and when excited (you've come home, she's about to be fed etc) she starts dancing on the spot like a little lamb.
Milly had to have a hip operation as she had an old break which had not healed correctly, but this has not slowed her down at all. It's healing well and she is learning to put weight on it, it may never be 100% but it doesn't seem to bother her or stop her running about.
June is still learning to trust people, she is no shy wall flower and will happily come up to you wagging her tail and head-butt your leg looking for attention, but she is nervous of being patted/touched from people standing above her. Once she is relaxed next to you on the couch she loves a good pat and even when she is nervous she never growls or shows any aggression. Patience (and treats!) is all that's required to gain her trust completely (especially when you need to catch her to put her harness on, this can take time!) She is a lovely dog and a funny little character once she gets to know you.
June does have a tendency to pick up things she finds on the floor and eat/chew them, as such she would not be suitable for a home with small children or anyone is untidy as she will happily eat Lego, dummies, discarded socks etc etc.
