About Lucky
Meet Lucky. The most amazing foster dog I have ever had in our home! As a foster carer, this is the hardest write up I have ever had to write as I can’t imagine life without this dog and he’s only been here for two weeks!… and this is why,
‘Lucky boy’ is a beautiful medium sized Staffy X with a stunning soft brindle coat, he’s such a cuddly teddy bear, he loves people, cats, dogs, kids and most of all hanging out with his people.
Give him a couch (and even a spot on your pillow at night) and he will love you for the rest of his life. He is very interested in everything you’re doing but is equally happy just to sit and sleep while you’re out.
He only barks if he hears funny strange noises (to protect you of course!) And will sit patiently at the back door waiting to be invited in for a cuddle.
He likes playing tug of war, chewing pig’s ears, he loves swimming and going on car rides where he sits calmly in a harness on the back seat. He has great recall and knows his name very well.
When at the Dog Park he will run and play with all dogs but is wary of little dogs as he has had a negative experience with a small male in his past but once he knows they are not going to hurt him he is fine and just wants to run and play. He will run the length of the oval but immediately come when called as he loves his person even more than playing.
He has no food aggression to people or other dogs, knows sit and shake, but walks excitedly on a lead so could do with some more training in this area. While in foster care has learned how to sit and wait before eating his dinner.
Lucky is a ripper dog and so desperately deserves to find his forever home so he can bond with his new family as he has bonded with us, his forever home will be with someone who can include him in their everyday activities, or even can take him to work with them, they will be ok with him coming inside, committed to giving him loads of cuddles daily, and love him like a child as he’s not just any old dog he’s an AMAZING teddy bear disguised as a dog!
