Diesel ~ On Trial 12/7/15

Introducing Diesel, a lovable and super cute 2 and a half yo Staffy, who wants nothing more than to be loved in his new furever home and he can't wait to give you lots of tail wagging, cuddles and licks in return. He is a medium sized boy. Diesel has not barked once or dug a hole whilst in care.

Diesel is great with other dogs. He currently lives with 2 other foster dogs and loves playing with them. He is more on the submissive side and even ignores aggressive behaviour from other dogs he has met. He gets on with dogs of all sizes even a tiny Chihuahua and a big mastiff. Diesel also lives with 5 cats, at first he was unsure of them, but likes the occasional chase in the yard now. If the cats are just quietly out in the sun he will ignore them. He has no issues with them inside. He is also in care with chickens in a separate pen and he shows little interest in them.

Diesel is in foster care with a 6 year old child and he adores her. Although he can get a little excited, he doesn't jump up so he would be great with children over 5 years.

Diesel enjoys his daily walks a lot and walks extremely well on a lead, almost no pulling. The hardest part is putting the leash on as he gets a bit excited. Diesel has got basic obedience training, sit and comes when called. I take him everyday to a little agility park where he does extremely well especially over the hurdles. "Hop" is another command to which he responds well. So if you're looking for an agility partner Diesel might be the dog for you! He just loves to please you and appreciates a treat in return - he will do anything for a treat!

Diesel was in the pound for a few months and before that he was neglected and not treated very well by his previous owner. He is very grateful now for kind treatment and is very eager to please and easy to train. He responds well to reward based training. He hadn't been inside before so his house-training is in the early stages and he has responded very well to it so far. He will probably need house-training to be continued by his adopting family.

During the day Diesel is happy to be outside, but would really love it if he can be inside when you are home and sleep inside of a night. He would do best as part of a family and loves to be included in evening TV time and family outings.

He loves a game of ball in the backyard and will bring the ball back to you. He also loves to have a ball to play with even if you're not throwing it. He would do well with another doggy friend to play with and as a companion for when his future family is at work, but would also be fine as an only dog.

Diesel needs family who will give him the attention and love he craves so much and he will give you eternal loyalty and love in return.

Diesel's adoption fee is $300 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
