About Bluey (Adopted 20/3/15) ~ Blue Cattle X
Hi there, my name is Bluey and I am an 8 month old Blue Cattle X male. I am \ looking for a forever home and someone to return my love. I am still puppylike and love playing with my 'ducky' toy, tennis balls and ropes, but only when you are there to watch me. I sometimes sit and wait until you are ready to play; it's much more fun when you join in!
I absolutely love having cuddles with you once I get to know you, and love just hanging around humans and being in their company. I am wary of new people until they pat me, then I get into their laps to give them a big sloppy kiss. I'm a very smart young dog who knows how to 'sit' and 'stay' and what 'no' means as well. I would love to go to dog training classes so I can learn lots of new skills, especially to not get jumpy in my excitement when I first greet you.
I really like going on adventures and doing activities. I need daily walks to help keep me stimulated and healthy. I'm really good on my lead, never pull and love walking on the right-hand side of you. I also love going to the beach and playing in the water and socialising with other dogs. I make friends with all dogs I meet, so if there is another dog in the family to play with and keep me company I would be so happy, especially if you are busy at work during the day.
I have been kept outside at my foster house, but I peer through the screen doors constantly to make sure they are ok. I would love a place where I can be inside too, and be involved in the daily house activities. I love to be included in everything. Add a yard to run donuts in and its heaven!
I met my foster dad's 6 year old niece and nephew who I really liked, but when they ran through the house it scared me a little. I'm still learning that loud noises are ok, and that objects with long handles such as shovels, brooms and feather dusters are not going to hurt me, they just look scary. The only time I have my tail between my legs is bathtime, but I reluctantly do as I am told. A good brush afterwards and I'll forgive you for the bath. I'm still learning how things work, so with training and patience I'll grow to be the perfect pet.
I would be a great addition to a family or person looking for a loyal, playful, sweet dog that can give me lots of attention and love.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
