About Marvin ~ kelpie x, puppy (On Trial 28/4/15)
Introducing Marvin. He is a 17 week old Kelpie x. This little guy will make the perfect addition for one lucky family. He is great with children of any age. He is affectionate, gentle, sweet, playful, cheeky and funny. He enjoys going for walks, cuddles and most of all he just loves human company.
He currently lives with an older female dog, which he gets along with great, and he hasn’t had any concerns with any other dogs. Marvin hasn’t had the pleasure of meeting a cat yet, but I am sure he would only think of it as another playmate.
Marvin loves travelling in the car, he happily sits back seat between his human brother and sister. He regular visits the primary school to pick up the kiddies and he has a fabulous time meeting and greeting everyone that walks by.
Marvin comes to his name, sits when told and is toilet trained. Further training is recommended as he is still young and has lots to learn.
Being a Kelpie x he would be best suited to an active family that will include him in their daily activities. He requires secure fencing and a good-sized yard for him to play and run. Marvin loves spending time with people and others dogs so ideally he needs a family with someone who spends a lot of time at home or another dog to keep him company. He currently has free range of the yard and house throughout the day. He sleeps inside at night and is outside when his foster family is not home.
If you feel you can give Marvin the loving home he deserves please contact his foster carer David on 0430597871. Marvin is located in Stockton NSW (Newcastle) and is not available for interstate adoption.
Marvin's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
