About Jai ~ Great Dane x Mastiff (Trial 3/4/15)
Jai is a sweet and charming, 13 week old, Great Dane x Mastiff puppy. This little man is an angel and will be an absolute delight to his adoptive family. He is very social and gets along with all of his many foster brothers and sisters. He loves to play in the backyard and spends his days exploring in the garden and playing with his friends. He loves to have a cuddle and will follow you wherever you go.
He will be great family dog and is suitable for children. \ He is a healthy puppy and has been very well socialised with other dogs and puppies and gets along fabulously with dogs of all different breeds, sizes and ages. I don't have a cat but she is young enough to think of a cat as just another playmate.
We recommend puppy training classes for all puppies. Jai will need a daily walk, toys, and interaction with people.
Jai needs to be allowed inside when people are home, and to sleep inside, at least while a puppy. He will grow up to be a medium to large dog. You will need good fencing with no gaps. He cannot go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire). Gates need to have locks on them to discourage dog thieves (sad but true).
It would be a big plus if you have a medium or large, friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Jai. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
As Jai is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's 4 or 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Jai, please contact their foster mum Robyn on 02 4953 7115 (preferred) or 0407 074 143 and please leave a detailed message if not answered straight away. Jai is located in Glendale, NSW (Lake Macquarie).
Jai's adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
