Meet the stunning Stella :)

Stella is a 3 year old Greyhound that didn't make it in the racing world and was lucky enough to end up in our care.

Stella has so much love to give! She is affectionate, playful, very loving and has an amazing nature.

Greyhounds make fantastic pets - they're loving affectionate and wonderful with people. Greyhounds are intelligent, friendly dogs with a gentle and sensitive temperament, well suited to a variety of different lifestyles. They make great inside dogs as they like to curl up and sit back and take in all that is going on around them.

She loves chasing a soccer ball or tennis ball around the back yard. Stella is a very clever girl but some ongoing obedience training will be essential in her new home as she needs a little direction but learns quickly. She is fine in the car for travelling, she loves her head out the window. For a greyhound she is very alert and interested in the world.

Although greyhounds are the fastest breed of dog they achieve their incredible speeds in one all out sprint and do not have a great deal of endurance. A greyhound is quite content to be a "couch potato" and spend most of the day sleeping. They require no more exercise than your average pet dog. Many live happy healthy lives with only a small fenced yard and daily walks on a leash.

She gets along well with other med-large dogs and children. She is best rehomed without cats or smaller animals. She loves the company of friendly dogs but is best rehomed without little dogs.

It would be great if her new family had greyhound experience as there are a few legal requirements when owning Greyhounds in Victoria which we will go through with her new owner.

Stella comes desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and worm and flee treated.
