About Gypsy
Gypsy is a loving girl who loves to play wrestles with her 4 foster siblings. Gypsy lives with her foster mum and 3 kids aged 10-14 who absolutely adore her and love snuggling on the lounge at night while watching television. Gypsy is learning how to walk on a lead and basic commands like sit and come, which she is proving to be a star pupil.
Gypsy loves her food but loves to take her time and enjoy her meals. She is learning toilet training but spends most of her time outside playing and sleeping. Although gypsy is very independent she loves to come to you for cuddles and is very gentle towards adults and children. Gypsy has some dominant Maremma traits and best suited to somebody who has experience with dogs. Gypsy could happily be homed by herself or with another dog to continue developing her doggy manners. Gypsy goes to work with her foster Mum to a Dog Training facility and has regular contact with small and large breed dogs. Gypsy can be a little shy at first but once she knows you, the sweet loving little girl comes out.
The Maremma Breed: The Maremma breed is a friendly and well-balanced flock guardian, who are brave and determined dogs. They are naturally independent and are described as affectionate, but not dependent dogs. They require a confident and consistent pack leader. Maremma's are highly intelligent and training must be consistent. Maremma's get along well with other dogs and pets and can be slightly reserved with strangers and develop into natural guard dogs. As a pet, the Maremma is not very attached or overly outgoing. This is not a breed for beginners. Medium energy, large breed dog, that will suit an active family, with lots of room to run and play.
Wyong dog club also offers 3 free lessons to adopted dogs or puppies and their new families and Gypsy will benefit from this training as much as her furever family will

When enquiring about Gypsy, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
We do our best to provide you with a clear understanding of our dogs needs and their temperaments, so please help us by providing as much information as you can about your home and lifestyle so that we get an idea if this is the right home for our baby.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
