About Coco Pops (Cat Friendly)
Hey, its Coco Pops! I’m a Maremma x Rottweiler x Kelpie pup with a possible splash of Cattle dog and my foster mum says that I’m the sweetest, most placid foster puppy she has ever had in her care. I do love my cuddles and smooches and love to hang out with my foster humans but also love to have a rumble with my foster siblings. I am living in a family environment with children aged 6 & 8 and I adore them. I’m also sharing with 3 dogs, a cat and 2 kittens, and I love ALL of them. I don’t have any aggression issues with both my other furry friends or with food.
I’m learning to walk on a lead, learning to come when called, and I have to sit before getting my food. Not to mention toilet training, my foster mum says I’m responding well to this too, and the other dogs I live with let me know when they are heading out, so I’m usually right behind them. I’m happy to spend my days outside while your away, but do enjoy some time inside with the family when your home.
I don’t have a preference when it comes to my owners being male or female, I love both, but can be a little shy and reserved when meeting new people. Once I get to know you, I’ll be your best friend. My forever family will need to have experience with my breed and dogs in general and be prepared to continue my training and socialisation so that I grow up to be a well mannered and sociable girl who will provide you with many years of love and cherished memories.
The Maremma Breed: The Maremma breed is a friendly and well-balanced flock guardian, who are brave and determined dogs. They are naturally independent and are described as affectionate, but not dependent dogs. They require a confident and consistent pack leader. Maremma's are highly intelligent and training must be consistent. Maremma's get along well with other dogs and pets and can be slightly reserved with strangers and develop into natural guard dogs. As a pet, the Maremma is not very attached or overly outgoing. This is not a breed for beginners. Medium energy, large breed dog, that will suit an active family, with lots of room to run and play.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and me.
I will be available for adoption after my desexing on 17th March, but if you would like to meet me prior to this date, then a meet and greet can be arranged.
Wally's like all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they feel part of the family. This is particularly so if they are to be an only dog.
Coco Pops is located on the Central Coast of NSW where she lives with her foster family.

When enquiring about Coco Pops, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
We do our best to provide you with a clear understanding of our dogs needs and their temperaments, so please help us by providing as much information as you can about your home and lifestyle so that we get an idea if this is the right home for our baby.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
