About Dakota aka Meow Meow
Located in New South Wales
ABOUT ME: I am an older lady who escaped a very sad home situation. My mum of 8 years had to give me up because she was in a bad relationship from which she escaped but couldn’t take me with her. So I found myself lucky enough to just escape the pound and go into foster care where I’m slowly settling into my new home. I’m still a bit uncertain and shy but slowly starting to come out of my shell.
I am used to living with animal companions as my mum had another cat and a dog, and I really love my cuddles. I really enjoy sleeping quietly on my parents’ bed at night time.
WHAT WE THINK: Dakota is a fully-grown medium haired dame. Although still shy and wary (of the established pecking order of cats in her foster home), she is beautiful and happy sitting around, preferably on a window sill, watching the world go by. A very quiet and calm lady with much love to give.
Medical Notes
I come desexed, fully vaccinated (first F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.

Adoption Process
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe, indoor home. This means keeping me inside so I am always safe. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (i.e. fly screens, etc.).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
My age in this ad is an estimate only (8 years). Please remember that felines are long lived, many live up to 18 years, so I am really just in my prime. I won't be climbing your curtains, racing thru your house at all hours of the night. I will be ideal for anyone wanting a placid cat who can take care of herself while you work and greet you each night on your return.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster mum would like to know something about who my new parent/s are going to be. She has rescued me from death row and has given me a lot of care and love. I know she loves me and therefore wants the best for me.
STEP 1: Send us an email with some details about the home you can offer. We like to match people to animals so the result is a happy home for life for owner and animal. Accordingly, as we already know the cat, we want to understand what you believe you can bring to the relationship. Please include a contact telephone number in your email, including, if necessary, the time it may be most convenient for us to contact you.
STEP 2: We will give you a call to discuss the animal. The person calling you will most likely be the cat's foster carer.
Offered through AWL Western Suburbs but located in foster care Maroubra 2035.
