Motley ... looking for his "Tradie Mate"

Meet playful Motley he’s a 1 year old cattle dog mix.

Motley is a lovely cuddly smart boy, who enjoys running, exploring and just hanging out near the kitchen watching you cook a meal or cuddling on the couch watching TV.

His days are spent learning how to sit and drop, come when called, and is now crate trained, he goes in at night and you don’t hear a peep out of him til morning. He’s also happy to spend rest time in his crate during the day, if his foster family have to go out and can’t take him with them. He is toilet trained.

He's a smart boy who thrives on learning from humans and picks new things up quickly. He travels well in the car and loves going on adventures, especially to where the water is!

He currently lives with a cat but hasn’t yet learnt not to chase as this is exciting to him, but with a loud “NO” he will back away. He knows not to catch the cat as this makes his foster Mum angry, so he stops just out of reach of the cat as he doesn’t want to get in trouble. Since being in foster care he has progressed in his training and will hold a stay while the cat casually walks past. (as seen in his pictures.)

He has the energy of a typical working dog so would love to find a home where he can run daily and continue training, to him this means work and that’s what in his genes.

Motleys forever home will need to ensure they have good fencing as if left in the yard by himself he might get bored and will climb out to explore his surroundings. In his foster home we use baby gates to separate the areas the dogs aren't allowed to go and he will jump clean over without hesitation, so farm fencing won’t keep him in for a second, but if you’re looking for an agility dog he would be perfect as this will give him work to do and fulfill his desire to please, I have no doubt he’d be fantastic at it.

Motley is an energetic young pup that might scare little children as he loves to lick them to all over their face and will knock them over accidentally while doing it, So is NOT suited to a house with small children.
