About Galaxy ~ On Trial 15/3/15
My name is Galaxy and I'm a 12 week old St Bernard x Cattle Dog mix puppy. \ My foster mummy says that I’m the prettiest puppy ever, but shh! don’t tell my brothers that. I can be a little shy when you first meet me, but once you give me cuddles, I will give you big puppy licks in return and then I’m your greatest friend. I can find big dogs a little scary at first as they are so big, but then my tail wags like crazy and I have a ball playing with them and hanging out. I have a fascination with water, I love to dig it out of my water bowl – splashing it all over the floor is a great game!
I’m in foster care with 2 children and we all snuggle together on the couch. I see myself as a bit of a lapdog, and I’ll curl up on their lap any chance I can get. I also like to lie on your feet, I’ll get so comfy that I’ll fall asleep on there so that you can’t move! I love it when you tickle my tummy – I roll on my back and am happy to have tummy scratches all day. I’m a great sleeper and will fall asleep easily after a hard day of playtime - I like to fall asleep on a big pile of all my toys.
My foster mum says I may grow up to be a very big adult as I have St Bernard mix in my genes so my foster mummy says I'm best suited to children above 5 years as I might knock over toddlers accidentally once I get bigger.
I would really love a furever home with a young friendly playful dog as a playmate and a good role model. I sleep well and soundly all night long. I'm only new to toilet training as I'm just a baby, so my new family will need to continue to train me on where to go to the toilet.
My foster mum says I would best suit a furever home with another dog or someone who is home a lot. I need to be allowed inside when my family is home and sleep inside. I am very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. I would love to go to puppy-training classes when I’m a little older as my foster mum says they will give me the best start in life. I will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training from my new family.
My brothers Blaze, Mustang, Sonic and Sega are also available for adoption.
If you would like to meet me, please email morepaws4u@gmail.com. I am in foster care on the Central Coast, NSW and I am not available for adoption interstate.
My adoption fee is $450 and includes my desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and micro-chipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
