About Angel ~ kelpie girl, 5yo ~ on trial 28/6/15
My name is Angel and I am a 5 year old, female, Kelpie. I love to chase things such as balls and frisbees and will bring them back every time. I can run very fast and even catch balls before they hit the ground. When my foster mum and dad call me, I always come back straight away so I'm lots of fun to take to the dog beach or park. I don’t mind when I have a harness or just a lead put on me and taken for a bit of a walk either.
I have been to the beach, loved the ride in the car, couldn’t wait to jump in and get on our way. I had a nice little nap on the floor because it took a little while. When we got there I met a few other dogs, but wasn’t really interested in playing with them. \ Even though I love playing with my foster sister, Rue (a staffy x bull terrier, also available). I wasn’t scared of the waves and was happy to go into the water to chase the ball, but I don’t think swimming is really my thing. Maybe with time, if my new family took me to the beach or river I would learn to enjoy swimming.
My foster mum and dad let me sleep inside which I quite like and think I would be a bit lonely sleeping outside by myself. I get along quite well with my foster sisters. I don’t like noisy thunder, but just want to be with my people if any is around, I don’t try and run away from it.
I am a really quick learner, my foster mum is teaching me not to jump up when I want a cuddle and to sit before I have my dinner. I do love to cuddle on the lounge though. I am also really smart and love jumping up to catch the ball. I would learn quickly with the right family who wanted to teach me and spend a lot of time with me.
I haven’t tried to jump the fences where I am living, but probably at least 5ft fences would be best for my new home, just so I feel safe. I haven’t met any cats, but like chasing the chickens that live next door when they walk along the top of the fence.

I would love to be your special friend. Won't you come and meet me? Thank you.
Angel. xxx

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
