About Toby
Toby is a gorgeous man. He adores his people, loves to sit next to you for a good scratch or simply to hang out. He's pretty independent most of the time, happy to wander around the yard and even plays fetch by himself (tosses the ball in the air and chases it). He likes other dogs, but would be happy in a home without them. He's currently fostered with 3 other similar sized dogs with no problems.
He is not a jumper or a barker and would be fine with school aged children and up. He loves his walks (and is learning to walk to heel on a lead) and thinks a car ride is the best treat he could get. He will alert you if he is outside and thinks there is something you need to know about outside, he is crate trained and house trained.
He knows his basic commands and will happily comply anytime. He is learning to walk on a lead, but is a little strong at times. He is currently being trained with a halti.
Toby is a little too interested in the family cat, so we are suggesting a home without cats or pocket pets.
Toby would love a home where someone will throw the ball for him every day. He would love to sit at your feet and get an occasional scratch. He needs regular exercise, but not excessive - a walk 3 times a week would work for him, as long as he gets to chase his ball every day.
If you're looking for a friend who will love you and are able to continue with his training and exercise, please consider Toby.
