About Willie (On Trial 15/3/15) ~ purebred greyhound
I would like you to meet Willie – he is 7 year old, black, purebred greyhound that is just waiting to meet the right family to call his very own. He is a little taller than the average greyhound which means he just has a bit more love to give. He has a very adorable face that just makes you melt when he looks you in the eye.
Willie really loves to just sidle up next to you and ever so slightly lean against your leg in the hope that you will give him a little rub on the head and of course you can't resist. He has settled in to his foster home and really likes his foster brother, a big Golden Retriever who has made Willie feel very welcome.
Willie is like most greyhounds and is quite sedentary in nature but is always ready to go for a walk with anyone who is offering. He walks on a leash very well with no pulling or stopping.
We have a pet rabbit and he has shown very little interest in her.
In the short time that Willie has been with us he has shown himself to be very loving and affectionate boy that would make himself an essential part of his forever family.
Willie is in very good health. Recently he had his teeth cleaned and few removed. So he is all spruced up and ready for his new home.
He is happy with his own company while his family go off to work or school but will greet you with a big smile when you come home. I gave him a bath today and he was absolutely perfect. He stood there and just lapped up all the attention and then thanked me with a little nudge on my hand. Watching a big lanky boy like that shake off the water is quite a sight.
For more information or to meet Willie, please contact Alison on 0435 535 338 or email alisonmgreenwood@gmail.com. Willie is in foster care in New Lambton, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
