Barry ~ Labrador x, 1yo (On Trial 21/3/15)

Meet Barry, a very handsome Labrador cross who’s hoping to become someone’s special boy. Barry is only 12 months old and is the kind of dog that would suit most homes. He loves children and is gentle with them, likes to play with other dogs, and is very affectionate with people. In fact sometimes we think he’d like to _be_ a person because when he’s excited he tries to talk. He wags his tail and carries on a fine conversation that only he can understand, in a voice similar to a growl. We have no idea what he’s saying, but we smile and agree anyway!

Barry is naturally in good health, and has no apparent behaviour issues. He is always very excited to see you when you come home, but doesn’t jump all over you. He doesn’t bark to excess, and travels well in the car. In fact Barry LOVES the car and will try and hop in with you any time he can.

At his foster-carer’s house Barry is currently an inside-outside dog; he is outside during the day, but he likes to come inside and spend some time with his family when they arrive home. At bed time he goes back out and sleeps on a covered verandah, but he would be happy in a home where he could sleep inside as well. He is toilet trained so long as he can go outside when he needs to.

A daily walk will keep Barry happy and fit, and a good sized yard would be perfect for him.
