About Maggie
Hi, my name is Maggie and I’m being fostered by a beautiful family who have 2 kids and 4 other dogs. I love running around and playing with my foster siblings and when I’m completely worn out, will quite happily snuggle up on your lap. My foster mum says I have great recall and I know my name already!
A humans hand and sticks may have been used in the past to discipline me and therefore I can be a little hand shy when approached and nervous when I see you pick up a stick, but this will all be overcome when I feel comfortable with the fact that your hands will only ever show love and I settle into my new home. I am happy to reside in a home with children, although preferably over 8 yrs as I do like to have some alone time to relax.
I’m not a fussy eater and happy to eat anything that you give me, but my all time favourite treats are chicken wings (raw of course). I love to swim and will quite happily jump in for a dip on a hot day. My foster mum says that I’m very happy and playful and am currently learning to do my business outside. I know when I’m told to ‘sit’ that I need to plant my butt firmly on the ground and my foster mum says I’m great at doing this.
I would love to be welcomed into a home with or without kids, preferably with another doggie friend but would adjust to being an only dog as long as I was allowed to live both inside and outside as part of the family. Ongoing training and socialisation is also required so that I grow up to be a well mannered and social girl who will provide you with years of love and cherished memories.
Maggie is located on the Central Coast of NSW where she lives with her foster family.

Please contact Vanessa via email only should you wish to meet Maggie. Email will ensure a faster response.
When enquiring about Maggie, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
