About Roxy ~ Rotti x kelpie,(On Trial 25/4/15)
Roxy is all heart! She is a Rottweiler x kelpie, 9 months old. She enjoys exercise – but loves nothing more than to lay by your side. She loves to be included in the family and is happiest inside enjoying your company.
Roxy is amazing with kids and loves to play with them – always being gentle, even if eating a bone! She just loves to be with people –she may not like all dogs but she is a huge people dog. Roxy will be loyal and loving from the start and is happiest sitting at your feet while you watch telly or running at the beach.
Currently, Roxy needs some help learning to socialise with other dogs as she becomes very defensive. She would probably get along well with other dogs of similar size and energy level but not small dogs as she's too much for them. Roxy would benefit from some lead training.
Roxy would suit an active person or couple of any age or a family with children. She needs to be allowed inside when her family is home - dogs enjoy being part of the family and get comfort from being inside with their humans.
Roxy is a sweet girl who just needs a chance to shine.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
