About Gustan on trial in his new home
Gustan is on trial in his new home. Gustan - Special Needs Dog. Gustan is a desexed male German Shepherd stock coat currently in care at Kurri Kurri.
Gustan was a rescue from a Sydney Animal Shelter who contacted GSD Rescue seeking our assistance to rescue this boy. You see Gustan is an anxious dog and when dumped at the animal shelter he was not coping in this confined area surrounded by barking dogs. He started to turn in circles chasing his tail which is as a result of stress.
So Gustan has come into our care and has been around all his fellow rescue shepherds and is social but to some extent aloof. He needs a home where he is the only dog and where his owners understand he suffers from anxiety this manifests itself with him spinning and chasing his tail. This occurs mainly when he wakes in the morning and being around other dogs compounds his stress.
So we need to find Gustan a home where he is the only dog and can be loved and included in his new home. Gustan is only a young dog and given time patience and understanding we are sure this behaviour will stop.
So if you can provide Gustan with a quiet home where he is the only dog and provided with daily walks, inclusion in the home and a job to do loving you then ring Pauline to find out more about this gentle boy.
Medical notes
Gustan is desexed, vaccinated C5 on heart worm prevention and is microchipped. \ He has been wormed and flea treated and will be professionally groomed prior to going to his new home.
Gustan is in good health but suffers from anxiety so he needs to find a home who understand his needs and are prepare to commit to his care.
