About Toby ~ Kelpie X - (On Trial 28/2/15)
Hello there, my name is Toby and I am Kelpie x Labrador. I am very happy playful 14 month old that loves the little things in life. I am currently on the hunt for my forever home where I will be cherished.
I am an active boy, I love going for walks, I walk exceptionally well on a lead and get very excited when my foster dad gets out my harness and lead.
I am a medium to large pooch, with an easy maintained coat, its black all over but I have tan legs with white paws and chest. I am house trained; I’ve never had an accident at my foster family’s house.
I love kiddies and big people; I don’t jump or push them I just adore the attention and affection, I am more than happy to sit on the lounge with you just to get a nice big cuddle.
I am a very friendly boy, I love other doggies, I love playing and hanging out with them. I currently live with a staffy girl, we get on really well. We like to play fetch, tug-o-war, chase each other around and wrestle.
I am a quick learner, I sit for my dinner and when I am told, I bring the ball back when we play fetch – not like my foster sister. With more training I will be a wiz at whatever is shown to me.
I also love swimming, I love dipping my paws into the water and having a splash.
I like travelling in the car; I can even jump in the back on the ute all by myself.
The most suitable home for me would be a place that already has another dog for me to play with.
If you think you can provide me with my forever home, please contact my foster mum Teagan, her number is 0423338872 or email Teagan.r@mainstreamindustries.com.au. My foster home is in Beresfield NSW (suburb of Newcastle).
I do have an adoption fee of $400, that money covers my desexing, vaccinations, micro chipping, flea and worm treatments and lifetime registration. You can see me and all other available doggies at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
