About Panda *On Trial in Her New Home*
*PANDA IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Looking for a friendly, affectionate, large breed pup who’s eager to learn and please her humans?? Then you can’t go past Panda the loveable goofball!!!! \
Meet Panda, her dad was a purebred Border Collie while her mum was a mix of Great Dane, Bull Mastiff and Ridgeback making her about the size of a Labrador when fully grown. She was recently rescued from our local pound where she'd ended up through no fault of her own.
Panda didn’t appear to have had any training when she arrived in care a little over a month ago though she is a bright girl who is keen to learn and has easily picked up “sit” and “drop” and will wait until she’s given the eat command after her meal is placed in front of her. She’s even learnt to play fetch and will bring the ball back to you most times. Loveable Panda does jump up a bit when she’s excited although she’s responding well to a firm “down” though because of this we would recommend Panda to a home with children who are 12 years old or above as she could accidentally bowl the littlies over.
In foster care with a male and female Border Collie, Panda loves to interact with them even though she can get a little rough at playtime, they just put her back in her place. Speaking of playing she adores toys especially the squeaky ones and is happy to amuse herself with them or try to coax the other dogs into a game of tug-o-war. We’re not sure how Panda would behave around cats, we’re guessing she’d be a bit too boisterous and if they ran she’d give chase. She travels well in a car or on the back of a ute and enjoys frequent trips to the nearby Murray River where she loves to dive in the water to fetch a thrown stick and bring it back. Panda also has good recall when off lead and tends not to stray too far from her foster carer.

Clever girl Panda is housetrained and sleeps inside at night in a dog bed enjoying her peanut butter filled Kong as she settles down to snooze.. She has mastered her carers’ doggie door so enjoys an indoor / outdoor lifestyle which we’d like to see continued in her forever home. She’s a friendly affectionate young girl who loves her humans and likes to snuggle on the couch with you while you’re watching tv at night. She’s also a terrific watchdog letting you know if someone’s at the door. Panda’s only downfall is that she wasn’t socialised with other dogs as a puppy, so can be a bit full on when meeting them or approaching them while on a walk though her foster carer is working on this and we’d love her forever owners to take her to obedience classes to further improve her manners and social skills while she’s still a pup albeit a BIG one!
If you’ve got the loving forever home we’re after for adorable Panda either with another similar size dog for company if you’re not going to be home often or on her own then please download and complete a SARG Dog Adoption Application form by following this link: http://www.sarg.net.au/adopt-a-pet.html

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
