Acacia – or Casey as she’s known to her foster family – is an absolute sweetheart! While she’s had a bit of uncertainty in her past, she’s so willing to trust and love people, and it shows in her desire to please and craving for affection. A very smart girl, Casey learns very quickly and is extremely well behaved. Housetrained, she’s also quick to pick up the house rules and loves to have some guidance on what she’s allowed to do so she can be sure to get it right.
An independent girl, Casey’s happy to entertain herself and explore the yard or sleep in the sun while her family’s at work. \ She LOVES getting out and about at other times, whether it’s to go for walks, car rides, or running through fields. Her sheer joy at having the freedom to run and explore is something to witness! She’s equally as happy following you around the house or sitting at your feet, as long as she knows she’s loved and can give love. You won’t meet a sweeter girl!
Casey can be a little bossy with other dogs, though will share her space as required. She’s a little too “precious” for playing rough and tumble, and if she had the choice would be the centre of attention as an only dog. She has lived with a cat before so should be fine with a good introduction.
Due to her uncertain past, Casey can be wary of new people and takes some time to learn to trust them. \ She’s working on this with her foster family, and learning that not all humans are hurtful, with lots of socialisation and positive interactions. Her adoptive family will need to understand her needs, but with love and understanding we have confidence she will overcome her trust issues. The love she gives back in return will be ten-fold!
Casey is patiently waiting for her new family, but with her sweet nature and fantastic attitude to life, she won’t be waiting for too much longer, so make your appointment to meet her ASAP!
Medical notes
Acacia is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped & heartworm tested.
