About Abby ~ red Cattle Dog x (On Trial 26/4/15)
Abby is an 18 week old Australian Cattle Dog x Ridgeback puppy. She has the most beautiful markings of a red cattle dog but will grow up to be larger due to the ridgeback mix. Abby absolutely loves being around people and other animals and loves kisses and cuddles and will fall asleep in your lap. She is great with kids and enjoys spending time inside with dogs and people.
Abby loves to wrestle and play chases with other pups and older dogs and has fun playing in the yard. She is a confident girl with a playful and cheeky personality with people and other dogs. She loves to play in her shell pool and swimming at the beach. She enjoys going for car rides. She has a great appetite and loves her food.
We are teaching her some basic cues. She is very social and would enjoy puppy training classes. She is in the process of being toilet trained and is improving every day. She will need to be allowed inside and must sleep inside at night.
Abby adores other dogs of all sizes, so she must go to a home which has another dog. If you don't already have another, why not adopt another one :-)
As Abby is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vets for desexing on 15/4/15.
If you would like to meet Abby, please send an email to kate_chapman_87@hotmail.com. Abby is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is not available for adoption interstate.
Abby's \ adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
