BENJI- A GENTLE SOUL WHO JUST WANTS A GARDEN TO SNIFF AND A FAMILY TO PLEASE

Beautiful young Benji is a wonderful little puppy looking for his forever home.
He is a 5 months old Mastiff X (maybe Shepard, Grey Hound Mix) so will grow up to be a large dog.

Since coming into foster care 6 weeks ago he has learned to wee outside and hold it overnight, he is crate trained & will willingly go into his crate at night and sleep quietly til morning. He is also use to staying outside in the yard while his foster family is at work and school about 8 hours per day.

Like all puppies give him a bone or toy and it will keep himself amused for hours.

Benji has learned to “sit” and “drop”, he know what “no” and “ah arr” means and he is learning to walk on a lead and sit and stay before eating his food.

He is very motivated by treats and picks up new skills within a few days.
He loves playing with his brother Joel and although he lives with a cat that will run whenever he approaches it is learning not to chase by being told “ah arr!” He is not at all aggressive with my cat just intrigued by him and can’t understand why he won’t play with him!

Benji will run to the door to greet you and is happy to follow you around in the house just checking out what you might be doing, but once you sit down is happy just to sit on his bed nearby. He is a quite boy, content just to hang around and not at all a needed “in your face dog”.

He would be best suited to a family who has another four legged companion as he has only ever lived with his brother and now is in foster care with another two large adult dogs, but if you are home a lot as he is young he would soon learn to live independently with plenty of stimulation.

He is a gentle puppy with a big loving heart and will make a wonderful addition to his forever family’s home…... Oh and he just LOVES water and swimming!!
