About Leo
Leo is very affectionate, playful, easy going, and eager to please.
He is very confident playing with larger dogs and loves to play with toys.
Leo is living in a foster home with two dogs, one cat, and a little baby. He is learning to sit, shake, and getting familiar with being handled all over so that it will be easy to check him for ticks etc when he is older. At the moment he sleeps indoors at night and is toilet training with great success.
Maremma's are a livestock guarding dog and work great on land with various animals and are also great patrol dogs. The RIGHT home for Leo will be the one who is familiar with the breed and their needs/ requirements. Leo would do well with another doggie companion, preferably another Maremma to show him the ropes. Working homes are preferred so that the full potential of Leo and his breed can be achieved.
He likes to have company -dogs or people -and will let you know if he feels a little lonely or would like to play. He is very content being by your side and would suit a home where he can have some companionship.

Adoption details
Tiki Animal Rescue has a few steps when it comes to finding the right adoptive home for our animals.
An enquiry must be filled out on the animal you're interested in adopting, explaining some basics about you/your life/ your home and what you can offer this particular animal if you were to adopt him/ her.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
Then from there on, it's just all about when the vet work is finished and the dog is able to leave for their new house, a 2 week trial is given for each dog to make sure it's a perfect fit.
Then enjoy the new member of your family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
