About Lucy
Lucy is an adorable and adventurous little girl who is the smallest amongst her litter of 5, she lives in a foster home with 8 other dogs and 2 adult cats and always finds a way to play with one of them. She is VERY water enthusiastic and even sits in one the water troughs and loves a good spray of water on the face when the weather is hot.
She is being crate trained and seems to be responding really well to this, she is toilet trained and is currently learning her name and how to sit on command.
Typical to her breed, Lucy is very vocal and always makes sure we know where she is.
Lucy would work best with a family who is familiar with the breed and their requirements, and would even better be suited to a household with another maremma to show her the ropes. She is very people orientated as well and loves a good cuddle and pat. She hasn’t shown any food issues and is a very confident little girl when it comes to interacting with dogs a lot bigger than her.
Maremma’s are livestock guarding dogs, who work best on land interacting with various animals of all kinds. They are also great patrol dogs that protect the household and its surroundings.

She is due to be desexed on February 24th, and has her second vaccination on March 10th- she can leave for her new home then.
Adoption details
Tiki Animal Rescue has a few steps when it comes to finding the right adoptive home for our animals.
An enquiry must be filled out on the animal you're interested in adopting, explaining some basics about you/your life/ your home and what you can offer this particular animal if you were to adopt him/ her.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
Then from there on, it's just all about when the vet work is finished and the dog is able to leave for their new house, a 2 week trial is given for each dog to make sure it's a perfect fit.
Then enjoy the new member of your family.
