About Miyabi
Miyabi is a shy little boy who will benefit from ongoing socialisation in the form of undemanding company and gentle cuddles. He is blessed with a sweet temperament, but is still getting used to the big wide world he lives in.
Once Miyabi feels safe with you, he warms up quickly and will graciously accept a good chin scratch or ear rub. :)
MY IDEAL HOME: I would like a quieter home where there's not too much happening to worry me. I quite like being patted, and even the odd belly rub, but prefer to approach you on my terms. My foster mum is hoping this changes as I get used to normal household sounds and activities.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm not your average kitten... I tend to sleep the day away and play at night! I'm still learning to play with my foster mum and my toys so maybe my playtimes will get longer over time, and become a daytime activity I enjoy.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I live with older children (12 and 14) and deal with them pretty well - although they do make a lot of noise which worries me, they give lovely pats and ear rubs! I have encountered a well mannered 5 year old and she seemed OK, but I think I'd be nervous living with younger kids as some don't really understand how to interact with shy kittens.
MY SUITABILITY TO DOGS AND CATS: I live with other cats and kittens but I've only just been allowed to meet them! We mostly get along, although sometimes they annoy me when I want to sleep and I can get a bit grouchy at them and hiss... \ I have a new foster brother pup coming that I'll meet soon, so I'll let you know how that goes!

Medical notes
Miyabi has scar tissue in his right eye from an old ulcer, which has caused a discolouration of the cornea. Our vet believes he has full vision, aside from some possible fogginess. Miyabi may require ongoing medication to manage this minor condition.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
