Soldier

Hi there! My name is Soldier and I am a handsome friendly active young man looking for somewhere to belong. I have been at the shelter for over 270 days but I don't know why the staff here say I'm such a great boy! I am responding well with positive reinforcement training and am food motivated which makes training a fun time.If you are an active family who enjoy long walks outings to parks and beaches we may be a perfect match. I have loads of energy and will need to go for daily walks. I walk really well on a halti rather than a normal lead and collar.I love other dogs so if you already have a possible playmate for me it would be a good idea for us to meet just to make sure we are going to be best buddies.Being boisterous and loving to chase things that move I would be more suited to a home with no pocket pets or cats. Also due to my playfulness and size a family with confident kids would be better. I would hate to accidently knock anyone over.Ongoing socialisation and training would be good I can be shy of some new people. Once they say hello I'm fine. As a large dog I will need a good sized fully enclosed yard with 1.5 metre high fencing and gates and a kennel/shelter to protect me from the weather oh and lots of toys did I mention I just love squeaky or fluffy toys?ACTIVE FAMILYNO POCKET PETS/CATSCONFIDENT CHILDREN
