About Duke
Friendly, charming and an absolute cutie pie, Duke is an easy dog to love. He is very affectionate and almost goes into a blissful trance when patted slowly. He has a sweet, character-filled face and ears that reach almost to the moon.
He is a cool customer who enjoys lying around, but is very keen for a walk when he knows the lead is out.
Once outside, Duke loves meeting other dogs and exploring. He walks well on the lead, with no pulling or dragging. He has been on several outings to cafes, where he behaves beautifully.
Duke is a gorgeous obedient boy who can sit and wait on command, and follow directions on such things as where he needs to sleep. He is house-trained, and can use a dog door. For that lucky person or family who falls in love with him, he will make a wonderful companion.
MY IDEAL HOME: I respond well to a stimulating, active household environment. I would absolutely LOVE to live with another doggy playmate! And I think kids are pretty great too.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I am a reasonably energetic boy. Ideally I will need two decent walks or runs around the dog park each day, where I can socialise and sniff about. When I have been exercised, I am very happy to laze around the house or yard.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: In my foster home I am living with a six-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl, and I adore them. I like to lick them, play and run around with them and I love their attention. I'm not worried at all by noisy, boisterous behaviour, and I would love to have a new little friend or two in my forever home.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I have lived amicably with a cat in the past and am currently fostered in a home with another dog. I really enjoy the company of other dogs, and a house with another four-legged resident would be AWESOME so we can do important doggy things like sleep on the couch next to each other.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
