About Rusty
Rusty is a true blue Aussie boy, he is excitable and friendly but mostly little Rusty is as bright as bright can be.
He has spent the last few months in specialised training to become a drug detector dog, but sadly didn't make it through their final assessments.
What this does mean for Rusty's potential new family is that they will be gaining a very well trained dog who is quick to learn and will make someone an awesome pet or agility dog, he is fast and responsive, willing to do what it takes to please.
He responds well to a kind, firm command. Sleeps outside in a crate/kennel at night, which is left open so he can go in and out at will. He is allowed inside during the day and evening when his carer is home. Sleeps quietly on his bed or at his carers feet when inside and is free to go outside to play with his foster sister as he likes.
He spent a few weeks in a house with cats, goats, sheep and horses. While he showed some interest he mostly demonstrated a natural herding instinct which could be developed to his new families advantage. He is not aggressive with food which you can see with the attached video.
If your looking for a sweet young dog, who has grasped mire than the basics, one that you can bond with and include as part of your family then consider meeting Rusty. He is best suited to an experience home, with a well mannered dog companion, an owner who understands kelpie's who can help him become the dog he deserves to be.
