About Oskar
OSKAR IS TRYING OUT A HOME.
Oskar is a happy friendly little lad who just wants to love everyone. Unfortunately he was kicked by a horse just before he came to us and one of his back legs was severely damaged. He had to have the leg amputated but he has recovered beautifully and is adapting to three legs. Most of the time he is fine and runs alongside the other dog at his foster carers chasing the ball, but occasionally he forgets and falls over.
He is great with everyone and loves sitting on your knee if he gets the chance. Just as well he is quite small! He only weighs around 11 kilos. Oskar has a sweet gentle nature but is a bit scared of men at first. He is good with other dogs.
Medical notes
There will be no medical issues associated with his amputation.
Oskar has been started on Heartgard.
Adoption details
Advertisement on PetRescue. I talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
I arrange a meeting with the animal and If all goes well completion of paperwork and payment is done through my vet. The adopter gets a receipt from the vet surgery.
I keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
