About Jake Gyllenhaal - the movie star cat
My name’s Jake, like Gyllenhaal, and I’m looking for love. I won my foster mother over with my good looks and charm – she says she was “star struck.” I’m told I’m look just like Jake Gyllenhaal – a bit of heartbreaker, with my beautiful blue and white coat and soulful eyes. I think I look very handsome in my photos – although was a little bit uncertain about how to pose for the camera, I'm a bit shy. I’m even more handsome in person.
When I got here with my brother Elwood, I was a bit of a scaredy cat – I had come from the pound - it was straight out of a horror movie! It was scary and there were always loud noises. And I don’t like loud noises! But being here, with my foster parents who have given me lots of love and pats and food, I’ve become a bit braver. My foster parents say I’ve become a real charming cat. I’m really playful and affectionate. I love when people pet me and give me a good rub under my chin. I’m not needy though – I do like my own company and am happy just chilling out on the lounge by myself. And I’m very well-behaved with other cats – I got along really well with my brother Elwood. Now that he’s found his forever family, I’ve made friends with the other cats and kittens here.
I’ve been in foster care for a while now, and while it’s nice here, I’d like to find a home of my own where I can be the star of the show. Despite my movie star looks, I’m a bit on the shy side, and I hide when there is a loud noise. So I’ll probably flourish best in a quieter home with no loud little kids, where I can get gentle pats and hugs, and you can see that star quality that everyone keeps saying I have. I'd like the lead role in your home, but I wouldn't mind a cat love interest or a cat side kick. If you take me home, I promise to love you, to snuggle you and be the dream cat you’ve only seen in the movies.
Medical notes
Jake has no medical conditions that we know of. Because our cats are rescued from the pound or off the streets, we don’t know their entire background or complete medical history. All ages are an estimate only. All our cats come with all their vet work completed which includes desexing, microchipping, vaccinated and parasite treated.
Adoption details
At Brighter Future Cat Rescue, we rescue our cats off the street and would think nothing worse that they be placed back there and in danger of the perils of modern day society. We adopt to indoor homes only or homes with suitable cat runs. House-checks are a must and all our cats and kittens have meet and greets. A 2 week trial period is given to ensure that they are ideal for your situation and lifestyle.
