Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Daisy
Loyal, affectionate and eager to please.
Other dogs
She will not pick a fight but does not like strange angry dogs rushing into her space without warning. (Neither do I).
Cats
Never tested
Kids
Daisy loves children and will play nicely. She may accidentally knock a child over with her youthful enthusiasm.
Size
22 kgs
Exercise requirements
Medium - playful and energetic. Daisy is always keen for a walk or adventure to the park but prefers an interactive event with her human friends then a boring walk on a lead. She loves to play with the ball in the back yard.
How is your dog on/off a lead?
Daisy has never been off the lead in a public area and has been restricted to the back yard. But she comes when called. When walking on lead she starts off pulling but settles down nicely. She gets excited when she sees other dogs but this can easily be managed with regular exercise and attention and home.
Escape artist
No
Toilet trained
Yes
Tolerance to being alone
Daisy is well behaved if alone during the day but because she is people orientated preference will be given to folks home more often than not OR who can make her the central focus of their lives when at home.
Likes/Dislikes
Daisy loves soccer, attention, pats and treats. If ignored and left alone for too long she will turn to a little digging in desperation for something to do. This can be easily solved with a little love, exercise and affection.
Ideal home
Daisy would love to be your central focus as she is very affectionate and people focused. She will thrive in a spacious yard and/or regular time in opens spaces. If you work full time she will be fine as long as you give her plenty of attention when home.
Generally
‘’She is really protective towards strangers coming towards our property - not barking for no reason though. She is extremely loyal and eager to please.‘’

Adoption details
We strongly recommend you read the dogs' profile carefully as everything we know about the dog/s is listed.
If you are interested in a dog we invite you to submit an application form so we can learn more about your circumstances. This is to ensure we match the right dog to the best home. (one form per family - not per dog) http://www.dogadoption.org.au/adoption---expression-of-interest.html
This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner/s. It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog/s.
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we do not usually allow trials.
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
