About Charlie (On Trial 17/2/15)~ Lab x Cocker Spaniel
Hello there, my name is Charlie and I am a very handsome Labrador X Cocker Spaniel (and maybe kelpie?). I'm medium sized and around 1 year old.
I am a very friendly dog; I especially love kids, people and other dogs. I don’t jump on kids or knock them about, like I said I am a gentleman! I'm very good in the car, I just sit back and enjoy the scenery.
I just love affection, being fussed over and cuddles are my favourite -- after food of course. I do like being inside and being a part of the family. After the working day is done, I like to just hang out the lounge room, I have a lot of manners and I know not to run amuck when I am inside I just lay on the floor and mind my business.
Being a gentleman, of course I am toilet trained, I sleep inside at my foster family’s house and I have never had an accident.
When I first came to my foster family I was very quiet and timid but I’m starting to come out of my shell. I am having a lot of fun playing with my foster sister a Staffy X. We play catch everyday and hang out in the back yard playing with all of our toys. I like to go on walks and if I do say myself I walk really great on a lead, no pulling or misbehaving by me, I am the perfect gentleman.
I have a totally black coat which is easy to maintain, pictures are a bit deceiving, I am actually a short haired fluffy dog – super cute I know.
I know basic commends, I sit for my dinner and come when I am called. My foster dad is trying to teach me to shake hands; I have nearly mastered that one too. When I play fetch with my foster sister I just run after her I don’t really get the ball myself, she is a bit of a hog.
I am a bit goofy, my foster mum thinks the way I run is cute and the way I just plonk myself on the floor is just a hoot.
Like I said earlier I am a quiet boy, I never bark I’m just happy being loved. I think I would be best at home where there is other doggies to play with or even some kids.
If you can give me a great forever home please contact my foster mum. Her name is Teagan and you can call her on 0423 338 872 or email her at Teagan.r@mainstreamindustries.com.au. My foster home is in Beresfield NSW (suburb of Newcastle).
My adoption fee is $400 and that money covers my desexing, vaccinations, micro chipping, flea and worm treatments and lifetime registration. You can see me and all other available doggies at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
