About Diamond ~ On Trial 14/2/15
Hi I’m Diamond and I’m a cuddly 10 week old kelpie x puppy. If you like diamonds for their uniqueness and beauty then you will love me! My foster mummy says I’m a one of a kind and I’m so precious. I love to follow my humans where ever they go and I show my foster family how much I love them with puppy kisses.
I’m in foster care with my sister Mica and 3 other dogs and 4 children. I love to play with them and all our toys. If I want to win at puppy games I will cry a little and all my foster brothers and sisters will stop and make sure I’m OK - I then give them a big cheeky puppy smile and pinch the toy and then it’s GAME ON! Because I’m so little, I like to run under the bigger dogs and try to trip them over – I’m a rascally puppy and I zoom around their legs to get them to play.
I love kids and I will always run to my foster families children to be picked up for cuddles after I’ve finished playing. They cuddle me and carry me around like a dolly and I love that. I also like to perch on the lounge with them and watch TV too.
I’m a really good sleeper after a hard day of playing – before I go to bed I get a bowl of puppy milk which I love. I then snuggle up with my sister Mica and sleep the night through. \ I’m only little so I still need to learn how to go outside all the time for toileting, so you’ll need to bear with me for now. I love rewards and praise so my foster mummy says I’m good at learning new things.
I’m an inside puppy and my foster mum says I need to be allowed inside when my new family is home, and that I must sleep inside at night even when I grow up. I would best suit a furever home with another friendly playful dog or someone who is home a lot - I’m too social and young to be left alone for long periods of time. \ I will need plenty of affection, exercise, training and socialization as I grow up, and I would really love to go to puppy-training classes as I love to meet other dogs.
My brother Granite is available for adoption.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
