About Miles
An affectionate, playful and strikingly handsome young man, Miles charms everyone he meets with his adoring and adorable nature. He loves people and will bound happily up to anyone who looks his way.
Loyal and obedient, Miles will enjoy staring lovingly at his humans for hours. He is very smart and loves to be challenged and show off, learning new tricks for treats. He understands basic commands like come, sit, wait, gentle, drop, shake hands, roll over, heel, out, wait, off and bed.
Miles is a sensitive boy who can feel nervous around loud noises, such as during storms and when big trucks drive by, and will look to you for loving reassurance and cuddles.
MY IDEAL HOME: Miles needs a large, completely secure yard to run around in. He is accustomed to people working full-time, but he will yearn to be in your company as often as possible and be a real part of the family. Loving owners in a stable residence who can give him daily exercise, showers of reassurance and affection and a cosy place to snuggle up at night would be a dream come true - but nothing less than this wonderful boy deserves.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Regular daily exercise is essential for this active young man. He is good on a lead (but enjoys sniffing enthusiastically at anything interesting along the way), he loves to chase birds (but never catch them) and adores chasing balls (but never returning them). He loves soccer, running alongside a bike, and long walks on the beach or in the park, preferably in areas where he can run free off-leash.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Miles adores kids and has lived with children 7-11 years old. He is a medium-large dog, so best suited to a family with kids old enough and big enough to join in. He tolerates toddlers, but is scared of them chasing him and touching his face.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Miles does love a rambunctious rumble with other dogs, so a pup playmate would make him deliriously happy. He may take a moment or two to warm up - he can be quite nervous when first meeting new dogs - but they are sure to be best of friends in no time.
Miles has no previous experience with cats. He does understand the command 'gentle', but it may take some training for him to understand they are not a playmate.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
